Cardholder
A wooden wallet
it's totally possible - and it's a slim, light, and clean solution to carry 4 to 6 cards.
I have been developing and testing this product for months and I can say that it has made a great different in my daily carry.
I made a limited run of these unique cardholders in various woods.
Originally inspired by Norio Tanno's work, where he makes incredibly detailed wooden mechanisms, I wondered if a simpler, more utilitarian cardholder was possible.
I incorporated a metal spring inside the cardholder to hold cards while one is in use.
Laminated construction is both for ease of production and for strength; grain matching ensures continuity.
To the left is a making-of video of one of them, using upcycled cocobolo wood.
